Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AlchemyLake — the governed generative-deliverables platform operated by Zorost Intelligence (“Zorost”, “we”, “us”) at alchemylake.com and app.alchemylake.com, including the web studio, APIs, MCP endpoint, and the AlchemyLake Databricks application (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

AlchemyLake generates business deliverables (text, reports, images, video, music, voice) that can be bound to governed data sources. When a generation is bound, the platform computes figures deterministically from the source, verifies the output against those figures, and attaches a provenance seal. Verification applies to figures the platform could check; it is an integrity aid, not a guarantee that generated content is fit for any particular purpose.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live). You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity via API keys you create. Revoke keys you no longer need.

3. Credits and payment

  • The Service is metered in credits. Lane prices are shown in the Studio before each run and may change; the price shown at run time is the price charged.
  • Purchased credits are consumed before promotional credits expire them.
  • Failed or safety-blocked runs are automatically refunded in credits at the moment of failure.
  • Credits are a prepaid metering unit, not money, e-money, or a deposit; they are non-transferable and carry no cash value. See the Refund Policy for cash refunds of unused packs.

4. Your data and content

  • Your sources stay yours. Data you upload or connect (CSV, Excel, Unity Catalog tables, Genie results) is used only to serve your generations — never to train models.
  • You own your outputs to the extent permitted by law and by the upstream model providers’ terms. We claim no ownership of your prompts or outputs.
  • Free-tier imagery carries a visible watermark and an embedded content-credentials manifest; sealed artifacts embed provenance metadata. Removing provenance marks to misrepresent origin is prohibited.
  • What you connect, upload, and share is entirely your decision, made at your own risk. This includes which workspace, catalog, tables, or Genie space you connect; which files you upload; and who you send a deliverable to, whether inside or outside your organization. We do not review or approve those decisions, and we bear no responsibility for their consequences. You are solely responsible for having the right to process the data you bind, for the accuracy and appropriateness of what you connect, and for anything you do with an output once it leaves the Service.
  • Do not upload data you have no right to process, or that contains special-category personal data unless you have a lawful basis.

5. Acceptable use

Use of the Service is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. We may refuse, throttle, or withhold generations that violate it (blocked runs are refunded).

6. Third-party services

Generations run on third-party model providers and backend infrastructure that support the Service’s architecture; we do not publish the specific vendors involved. Their availability affects the Service. Where you connect your own Databricks workspace — including the optional workspace text tier, where text runs on your own Databricks Foundation Model endpoints — that processing is governed by your separate agreement with Databricks, not by us.

7. Open core and licensing

Portions of AlchemyLake are published as open source under the Apache-2.0 license at github.com/zorost. The hosted Service, its branding, and non-published components remain proprietary to Zorost Intelligence. See Licensing in the docs.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable despite verification aids. You must review deliverables before relying on them or distributing them. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zorost’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms (including the AUP) or create risk for the Service or others. On lawful termination for cause, remaining promotional credits lapse; unused purchased credits are handled per the Refund Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
